Chico Bico

This is Chico. If you haven't met him yet, you're missing out. He is the most affectionate, hilarious, adorable, and devoted dog. Some of the things I love about him are:

-How he scatters his food around the apartment and saves it for later. His food dish is in the kitchen but he won't eat in the kitchen because of the tile floor. So instead he takes each bite of food into the living room area and eats it one-by-one on the carpet.

-Chico has a little sombrero squeaky toy that he loves. He'll play fetch with it.

-Sometimes at night, Chico will get really hyper and run full-speed laps around the apartment. It's really funny to see the look of determination in his face. It's almost like he's bewitched. He's hard to catch by the way!

-He's so friendly to new people. He forms attachments really fast.

-He loves to bask in the sun. I let him out on the balcony and he'll lay there with his eyes closed and sunbathe. Now that it's cold outside, he likes to sit by a window and lay in a sunspot.

-He has a sixth sense. Will tells me that right before I get home, Chico starts getting really excited and sits by the door.

-He is the best co-sleeper ever. He cuddles right next to me at night and stays put. He doesn't snore or take the covers. He also likes to sleep in on the weekends!

Appalachian Ski Mountain...here we come!!

Our ski weekend is finally here! I've been planning this for the last couple of months and Jan. 10-11 seemed like it would take forever to get here - but here it is! We are leaving tomorrow morning and will be skiing at the Appalachian Mountain. From what I've been hearing, the snow has been coming down pretty good so there will be a good snow base by tomorrow. I haven't been skiing since 2002, which was my last ski trip with WPBC Youth Group. We always went to Snowshoe or Winterplace so this will be my first NC mountain.

Will and I plan to stop in Blowing Rock and visit the little shops. If you have never been to Blowing Rock, it is a darling, quaint little mountain town with the coolest shops. One store has all different kinds of homemade fudge and candy that you can't find anywhere else. Another store has all sorts of collegiate and professional athletic apparel and collectibles. Will is always on the hunt for new Buffalo Bills merchandise...

We are staying at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center in Boone. If you ever need a place to stay in the Boone area, then check out Broyhill because they offer phenomenal deals. Hopefully we can also eat at the Daniel Boone Inn. I've only been there once but the food was amazing! I'm also hoping we can meet up with Hannah and Joe, who will be coming back to resume their second semester at ASU. Then, later that night we get to watch the Panthers in action - GO PANTHERS!!

I can't wait!!
